Why FET Overcomes Fresh Transfers

An increment in the acceptance of ART has been seen in recent years. The casual adoption of frozen embryo transfers has been aided part by the more generally acknowledged meaning of 'success' in ART: sound singleton delivery that follows serial transfer of embryos procured in sole stimulation cycle. Be that, as adoptions may have expanded the evident absence of enlistment data between pregnancy rates per oocyte pick-up and per embryo transfer.

Gestational Carrier (Surrogate)

What is a gestational carrier? A gestational carrier (GC), also called a gestational surrogate, is an arrangement where a woman carries and delivers a child for another couple or person (intended parent[s]). When using a GC, the eggs used to make the embryos do not come from the carrier. Because the eggs will be retrieved from one woman and implanted in another, this technique requires the use of in vitro fertilization (IVF). IVF is when eggs are fertilized in the laboratory and a limited number of resulting embryo(s) are transferred into the uterus of the carrier.

Baby steps: parent-child relationships in gestational surrogacy cases

Multiple (MET) and Double Embryo Transfers (DET) VS Single Embryo Transfers (SET)

Risks and Benefits SET has a higher success rate than DET Transferring one embryo into women during in vitro fertilization (IVF) doesn't lower their chances of giving birth but it does mean fewer women give birth to twins, with all the attendant health risks. (Double embryo transfers increase the occurrence of twin births from 1% to 30%) In the past, it was recommended to implant multiple embryos in order to maintain high pregnancy rates, but improved technology has helped increase births when single embryos are used in younger women judged to have a good chance of getting pregnant.
