They can cause numerous other long-term risks, which include prolonged hospitalization, mental disabilities, cerebral palsy, respiratory distress, visual issues, digestive disorders, hearing loss, jaundice, bleeding in the brain, neonatal death, and increased risks during adulthood such as adult death from heart disease.
