Priyanka Chopra chooses surrogacy

One of the big news of the past year was Priyanka Chopra's surprise announcement that she had become a mother for the first time. According to the New York Post, the actress gave birth to a baby girl, she was born at a hospital in Southern California, and 12 weeks ahead of schedule.

In the middle of January 2022, the Indian actress and her husband Nick Jonas became parents. As the couple announced: they were helped by a surrogate. Why did they make such a choice?

Why did the 39-year-old actress and her 29-year-old musician husband choose a surrogate instead of the traditional way? While there are many medical reasons why couples choose this route, according to some sources, Priyanka and Nick decided to have their baby through a surrogate because of their busy schedules-they often spend time away from each other. And not at all because the Indian actress and Miss World title holder had any fertility problems. They physically couldn't find the time to "conceive a baby when she was ovulating."

Priyanka and Nick are certainly not the first celebrity couple to get a baby this way. Kim Kardashian and Kanye "Ye" West welcomed two of their four children through a surrogate. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Jimmy Fallon and Nancy Juvonen Fallon, Tyra Banks and, it seems, Naomi Campbell did the same.
