Which Companies Offer Ivf Benefits? Which Are On The Naughty List?

By ELLEN TRACHMAN Given how important and life-changing these benefits are, we can hope that the business case for offering them eventually wins out. Hearing that you need assistance to conceive a child can be heartbreaking. And worse, for many people, paying for the assistance can be financially out of reach. Fertility treatments are going to be expensive, no matter whether it’s (1) artificial insemination with a sperm donor (which is more clinically referred to as intrauterine insemination (IUI)), (2) in vitro fertilization (IVF) with one’s own genetic material or with a donor, or, (3) the pinnacle of expensive fertility…

First Human Eggs Grown In Laboratory: Ukrainian Surrogacy of the Future

Human eggs have been grown in the laboratory for the first time, say researchers at the University of Edinburgh. The team say the technique could lead to new ways of preserving the fertility of children having cancer treatment. It is also an opportunity to explore how human eggs develop, much of which remains a mystery to science. Experts said it was an exciting breakthrough, but more work was needed before it could be used clinically. Women are born with immature eggs in their ovaries that can develop fully only after puberty. It has taken decades of work, but scientists can…

Obstacle Course To Identify Healthiest Sperm

By Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Researchers from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Stanford University have developed a device which sorts sperm, identifying the fastest and healthiest sperm, in order to improve couples’ chances of succeeding with in vitro fertilisation (IVF). The hope is that women undergoing IVF could become pregnant with fewer costly treatment cycles. Standard sperm-sorting methods used in IVF aim to select the sperm which swim the fastest. Infertility through the ages – and how IVF changed the way we think about it

And Reasons to Consider Ukrainian Surrogacy By Tracey Loughran The pain of infertility has not changed, even if modern technologies have. To all outward appearances, Louise Brown looked exactly the same as thousands of other babies when her blinking, slightly quizzical gaze met newspaper readers on the morning of July 27, 1978. But as the first child born using the technique of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), she was utterly unique in the history of humankind. How to talk to a friend who is experiencing infertility – consider Ukrainian Surrogacy

By Rachel Nania  — One in eight couples has difficulty getting pregnant. That is a statistic Andrea Syrtash knows all too well. The relationship expert and author has been struggling with infertility for seven years, during which she has seen eight doctors for a total of 18 treatments. “I call myself an ovary achiever,” Syrtash joked.
