The problem is NOT Ukraine or Ukrainian adoption. It has to do with preparation and the agency and/or clinic you use.

No matter what country you live in, no matter what your nationality, it is essential that you understand if your agency will be assisting you with all the documentation for your newborn to exit the country. While you are doing this, make sure this service is not at an extra cost. We suggest you double check with your country and know all the steps involved BEFORE starting the surrogacy process. In this case, the Australian couple was unprepared and had serious problems getting the necessary documentation on their own.

In some many countries, like the UK, for example, involvement of your agency and an immigration lawyer up front can save you time in country, lots of headache and money.
